What documents do I need for a Texas learner permit?

Proof of your residential address, plus your full name, mailing address, county, place and date of birth. Identification documents and proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful presence (see the lists at dps.texas.gov). Your Social Security number (verified electronically). Evidence of vehicle insurance, or a statement that you do not own a vehicle that needs it. Under 18: a Verification of Enrollment and Attendance (VOE) form from your school, dated within 30 days (90 in summer).
